Built by Betongpark, designers of bespoke skateparks across Europe the ramps will be donated to Heatham House Skate Park in Twickenham, creating a lasting legacy for the project and the young people who helped shape it.
Designed in collaboration with the young people of Ham Youth Centre (TBC – names to be added) and London-based artist and skater Liisa Chisholm, this project has transformed a set of skate ramps, built by Betong UK, into a piece of public artwork.
Working with Liisa, the young people created collages inspired by the patterns, colours and imagery they would like to see more of in their local high streets and public spaces. The workshops explored how young people's voices and experiences can be represented through public art.
Following Centre Stage, the ramps will be donated to Heatham House Skate Park, creating a lasting legacy for the project and the young people who helped shape it.
