Unit Lab is a London-based design studio creating playful objects that bring science into everyday life. Presenting Urban Nature Observatory, an interactive network of environmental sensors installed across the high street in the weeks leading up to the event, collecting live data about the local environment.
Using “data telescopes”, audiences can discover changing sky colours over time and track air quality across different parts of the street, revealing how the environment shifts throughout the day, including the impact of a car-free town centre. Alongside the installations, drop-in workshops invite visitors to creatively respond to the live data and imagine the stories behind what they see.
A hands-on mix of science, design, and collective observation for all ages.
